The challenge
The yacht club WSV in Ouddorp is working on the ambitious redevelopment of its marina. The current jetties and accomondations are outdated and no longer meet the standards. The association has decided to renovate the jetties, bank protections and dike facings. The marina is located near the Grevelingenmeer, a former tidal channel of the North Sea. The renovation of the bank protections and dike facings are necessary to protect the marina against waves and currents.
Our contribution
Walhout Civil has prepared a final design of the new marina and bank protections for yacht club WSV. The design included the engineering of the jetty constructions, berthing locations, dolphins and bank protections. A bathymetric survey was conducted to map out the underwater bottom. A summery of our activities:
